Don't Buy Another E-book!
Many of the ebooks out there today are selling you the same rehashed information when it comes to the subject of how to make money online selling digital products. It really is a simple process that doesn't take a lot of money or skill to do. Does that mean that you shouldn't buy any of these ebooks? No. Sometimes you run into a book that has just one piece of unique information that will make it worth the $197, $97, or $47 you paid for it. But before you buy another ebook (or your first) that tells you how you can make money by reselling the same ebook you just bought - try this method out and see if it works for you. The first thing you need to do is pick a product. There are many ways to go about this, but if you have a specific niche that you are interested in, then simply go to the ClickBank marketplace and search your niche for a product you like. Whole books have been written about how to pick a ClickBank product to promote, so do a search on how to choose a ClickBank product to help narrow down your search. You should purchase the product and make sure it is of a quality that you feel comfortable promoting. There is no sense in losing your credibility by promoting something that is not of top quality. The next step is to set up your "Review Blog." You can either use a free blog service such as blogger.com or wordpress.com if you don't have your own hosting account. Some people just do the reviews on their personal blog, and that is fine if you have already have traffic. If you don't, set your blog up with a name similar to the name of the digital product that you are promoting. For example, if you are promoting the "Training Your Pink Elephant" ebook, then you may want to purchase the domain trainingyourpinkelephantreview.com or something similar. This will help you with your search engines when somebody is looking for this particular product. • You can set up a mini-website too...but I am trying to make this easy. If you go the mini-website route, mimic the original sales page without copyright infringement. You want to make it look similar. • You should also follow the blog formula for a Squidoo lens or a Hubpage. When doing the product review a blog, you need to be honest about your assessment of the product. Give enough information to make the prospect interested, but don't tell them everything. Your prospect should be left wanting more. This is what entices them to take the action to buy the product. Do not make the review a glowing endorsement of the product - that will strike people as a sales pitch. Make both positive and negative points - "pros" and "cons." However, make sure the "cons" don't come across too negative. The most important thing you want the reader to understand is how the product is going to benefit them, and to leave them with the feeling that the goals of this product are achievable. This is a key point - you need to offer bonuses if they buy from you. Everyone likes free stuff, what you offer them may make the difference between them buying from you or someone else. Don't have any bonuses? Look into PLR products - many are available for free. Write your own ebook that is a complement to the ebook you are promoting. Offer up your time as a consultant. Whatever it is, make sure it adds value to the package from the prospects point of view. I recommend that you do some research - pick an affiliate product, type into a search engine the name of that product with the word "review" after it . This will give you several finished examples of the process explained above. Most of them will include instructions on clearing cookies so that they get credit for your purchase as well as contact information where the client can send their receipt to claim their free bonuses - do not forget to do this with your offer! Lastly, you need to advertise. This primer is too short to cover ppc and social marketing, but do a search on those terms. There is tons of information available for free. The key with ppc is to think like the prospect. If I wanted to buy the "Training Your Pink Elephant" ebook and wanted to see what others were saying about it, what would you type into the search engine? That's it - a basic primer on how you can start marketing digital affiliate products. You may have just saved $47, $97, or even $197!
